tick tock timing

I don't know about you, but I think one of the most difficult things that Latter-day Saints face is trusting in the Lord's timing. I know it's something that I have struggled with and I know other people that have struggled with having the faith in the Lord's time frame for His children. A recent incident happened today that is going to try my faith in the Lord's time frame for his plan for me. I signed up to receive quotes from LDS Gems for Young Single Adults. Coincidentally I received a quote about the Lord's timing that is very fitting. Neal A. Maxwell said this:

"The issue for us is trusting God enough to trust also His timing. If we can truly believe He has our welfare at heart, may we not let His plans unfold as He thinks best? The same is true with the second coming and with all those matters wherein our faith needs to include faith in the Lord's timing for us personally, not just in His overall plans and purposes."

It's all about perspective. The Lord has a plan for each of us and He has a time frame for each of us. Although His timing isn't always our timing, His plan for us is better than the plan we have for ourselves. Things aren't always as we planned, it's ever better...

Hey Alli,
I was blog lurking today and came across yours. Congrats on getting engaged! (well almost engaged) My little sis is "almost engaged" too. I just had to tell you that I had such a crush on Nic in high school. You guys are super cute.
Cute layout by the way :)

I think there is so much truth in that. I've definitely learned that in so many different situations in my life, especially this past year! Sometimes it's hard to have faith in that when you want something at a certain time, but the Lord is always able to put things in perspective for you as long as you are willing to see it and accept it.

Loves.

Hey you, I hope you are keeping your head up through all this! Trust what the Lord is doing and what he has on store for you both. I promise that whenever the timing works out you are still a part of this family now! Love you, Chantele
