update...

I hope you will forgive me for taking some time in updating my blog - the internet at my apt. complex is having some issues. Putting excuses aside I am working on posting an album from AZ, so I am trying. Updating my life...I am back in the swing of classs and loving them. I am take Social Work Practice 1 - individual (I think there are a couple that I have to take), values and ethics, Old Testament (spiritual Brian Regan = my professor), Abnormal Psychology, theories, and policies. It is quite the load of classes, but I love my teachers and love the class. I love the department here - all of the professors are amazing. Love it!

For those of you who didn't know, I tried out for a vocal fireside group, but didn't make it. I got a callback which was exciting, but oh and well. I was a little bummed when I found out about it, but then something exciting and uplifting happened later that day. The SW student council were having elections for my class (first year students). People can only vote for people in their class. I decided to go, but wasn't planning on running. I had a few thoughts roaming around in my head if I decided to run. When I got there the president, vp, someone from the activities committee, a girl (Brittney) from my classes, and me were the only ones there. Brittney and I were the only two from our class. We both weren't planning on running, but had thought about it. Because of the lack of people, she and I automatically got on board for student council. Yay! I was so excited! :) That made my day - who needs that vocal fireside group. haha I took that as a blessing in disguise - I will be able to get so involved with the SW program (planning service activities and socials). All in all I am glad I didn't make it into that vocal group - blessing in disguise. I have my first meeting next Wednesday and our opening social is next Friday.
Along the SW lines...come February 28-29, I will be going to SLC for a humanitarian aid service "expidition" with 45 other SW students and some advisors. I am so excited! We will be serving in homeless shelters in downtown SLC near Pioneer Square, eat with the homeless people, take a tour of the conference center, maybe see a movie there. On Friday we will be split into groups to either work in the bishop's storehouse, bakery, cheese factory, DI, or the cannery. I am so excited that I was able to sign up. It will be such a neat, hands on experience for me. Yay.
There - I think I have updated you on all that's been happening here in the Iceburg...I mean Rexburg. haha That's the happenings of Ms. Alli...

FINALLY! :)

Sounds like things are going well for you up there, Al. Will you have time for your dear old (favorite) sister when you come down to SLC? If not, you and Shauna best be planning a trip!

Can't wait to see pics of AZ. And what about your new temple?

Congrats on the student council. Go Al!

Love you!

That is great that you get to be on student council (or whatever you call it)! Sounds like that SLC trip will be amazing!

I wold love to meet that "spiritual Brian Reagan." If you have the video feature on your camera, you should get some footage and post it.

It's nice to see you are back up and posting. Welcome back!
